Our Story
Founded in 2008, Cooper Construction, Inc. is based in Salina, Oklahoma and serves Green Country by providing General Contracting and Construction Management services for residential and commercial projects.
Brian Cooper began his career in construction as part of a small family drywall business over 30 years ago, working alongside family members learning the trade and eventually running crews. Along the way, Brian enrolled in business classes and drafting courses and gained relative work experience, such as working in contract sales in lumber and drafting for larger construction companies.
As a lifelong resident of northeast Oklahoma, it became a natural fit for Brian to use his construction knowledge to serve others in this area. In 2002, he transitioned to working for the Cherokee Nation in the Community Services Department, managing Housing Rehabilitation and Self-Help Initiative projects. In 2008, Brian started his own construction business out of Salina, OK, still working on rehabilitations and NAHASDA Housing Accessibility projects, now from a contractor’s perspective. Meeting the people behind the projects was important then and now, and these projects within Cherokee Nation served a dynamic role in the growth of the company.
Since that time, Cooper Construction, Inc. has been growing, continually striving to improve its best practices and meet goals relevant to its core values. Cooper Construction, Inc is proud to be a Native American company, employing Native Americans and growing our business through work with Native American Tribes.
